On the 15th of July 2019, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney announced that Alan Turing would appear on the new £50 polymer note. Making the announcement at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, the Governor also revealed the imagery depicting Alan Turing and his work that will be used to reverse the note. The new polymer £50 note is expected to enter circulation by the end of 2021.
The challenge
To create an engaging video that would show the shortlist of the characters and the final chosen person for the new £50 polymer note.

The idea
Using previous £50 note videos to continue the theme, we used the previous talking banknote characters as news reporters to announce the banknote character. The shortlist was presented in a polaroid display format, finishing with the final character.
